The gunman has been identified as 26-year-old Devin Patrick Kelley, according to two law enforcement sources who have been briefed on the investigation.
But police have not officially named Kelley as the shooter. They described the gunman as a white man in his 20s. Authorities have not said what the motive was.
- he was a known atheist
- he was dishonorably discharged from the military, discharged from the Air Force for allegedly assaulting his spouse and child (a)
- he was an 'antifa' supporter
- he 'believed' the LIES on corrupt nitwit news (CNN)
- all his online activity has been removed
- he was denied a gun permit by the state of Texas
- liberal demonrats are 'cheering' his actions - while demanding more gun control 'laws'
- He was dressed in black, wearing tactical gear and a ballistic vest.
Try to convince me that there isn't a connection!!
“It’s really loud. At first I thought someone was blasting,” said Ryan Albers, 16, who lives across the road. “It had to be coming from somewhere pretty close. It was definitely not just a shotgun or someone hunting. It was someone using automatic weapon fire.” http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/11/06/devin-patrick-kelley-what-we-know-about-alleged-texas-gunman/ - Proof that people have NO idea what automatic and semi automatic gun fire is! Of course, this was from a sixteen year old, so....
- -- The killer had in-laws who attended the church -- but those in-laws were not present at the time of the massacre, the sheriff said.
- -- The shooter was first shot by an armed resident who confronted the gunman outside the church and shot him. The suspect then turned the gun on himself, authorities said. He was dressed in all-black tactical gear, including a ballistic vest, and was later found dead in his vehicle. NOTE: Devin, the shooter, was found dead in his vehicle ELEVEN miles from the church!!
- -- The victims ranged in age from 5 to 72 years old, said Freeman Martin, a regional director with the Texas Department of Public Safety. The visiting pastor was among those killed, Tackitt said. Officials believe at least 12 of the 26 victims were children.
- -- The 14-year-old daughter of the church's pastor was among those killed, said Sherri Pomeroy, the girl's mother. Her parents were traveling out of state when the shooting occurred.
The suspect dropped his rifle, which was a Ruger AR assault-type rifle and fled from the church.
According to the DailyCaller
NOTE: Devin either had another weapon and committed suicide OR he died from a wound received from the nearby resident who confronted him.
“AR” in the gun’s name stands for Armalite Rifle. That is the company that first developed the weapon nearly 60 years ago. The company sold the rights to the firearm to the Colt company which, in turn, modified the rifle and sold it to the military as the M-16. The M-16 is an automatic weapon: Hold the trigger and multiple rounds can be fired. The AR-15, like the Sig Sauer, requires that you pull (NOTE: never pull a trigger - squeeze it) the trigger to fire each cartridge.
What is an “assault rifle”?
An assault rifle is a rapid-fire, magazine-fed rifle designed for military use. It is a shoulder-fired weapon that allows the shooter to select between semi-automatic (requiring you pull the trigger for each shot), fully automatic (hold the trigger and the gun continuously fires) or three-shot-burst modes. These weapons are NOT available, in gun shops, to the general public!! The military replaced the M-16 with the M-4. The M-16 is more of a Vietnam era relic.
Contrary to popular opinion and belief the M-16 is NOT the same weapon as the AR-15. They are VERY similar but they are NOT the same!!
