It has now been nearly a year since Trump was elected. People are not being rounded up and put in concentration camps. The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.
The American people watched, some silently, as Obama has released known terrorists into society and turned a blind eye when those criminals killed Americans. Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.
The obsession with National security, for the fascists in America, is the opposite of what one would expect. They use race baiting, name calling, and other threats of personal injury if anyone attempts to prevent illegal aliens from entering the country. Which is treason - aiding and abetting known enemies to America!
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.
Obama made no effort to hide his integration of the muslim religion into the American government. Then allowed his muslim brotherhood to invade America unimpeded! The fact that he filled his cabinet with members of the muslim brotherhood should be all the proof one would need to believe he was attempting to create a fascist society.
9. Corporate Power is Protected
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
Obama prevented even a single arrest or prosecution of any senior Wall Street banker for the systemic fraud that precipitated the 2008 real estate financial crisis: a crisis from which millions of people around the world are still suffering. What Obama justice officials did instead is exactly what they did in the face of high-level Bush era crimes of torture and warrant less eavesdropping: namely, acted to protect the most powerful factions in the society in the face of overwhelming evidence of serious criminality.
10. Labor Power is SuppressedBecause the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.
The rampant unemployment and ever increasing amount of people receiving taxpayer funded welfare was obviously an attempt to force everyone in society to become dependent on the government for everything. One may argue this is more of a socialist government but in that regard fascism and socialism are nearly identical.
11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.
There is no question the fascist liberals, democrats, and institutes of higher education have not only embraced and tolerated open hostilities they have welcomed them. By allowing liberal, fascist students to physically and mentally assault student who express an opposing point of view! By allowing the liberal students to interrupt, like the Nazi brown shirts and Mussolini's black shirts, guest speakers at their institute of higher education and then blame the guest speaker and those attending the event for the disruption!
12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.
With the information that has come out of Washington, specifically the Robert Mueller investigation, Americans now know just how deep that cronyism and corruption went! When an agency like the FBI, put in place to protect the nation, are involved with and being paid to be accessories in criminal activity designed to destroy the country, that is about as corrupt as it can get!
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.
Americans reported, on social media, all kinds of election fraud happening all across the nation. The reports included electronic voting machines changing votes, valid candidates not being listed on ballots, illegal aliens voting, dead people voting, people traveling to other states to vote again, exploiting the same day registration laws of some states.
The smear campaigns are more publicly recognizable with every election and it is always the liberals, democrats, and fascists paying people to publicly make false accusations against republican candidates.
UPDATE: Here we are, 6/25/2018, still dealing with the brown shirts, black shirts, lying leftist liberals, and the mentally unstable! Every trick they have tried has failed. Most of America now knows msm is just public propaganda, they have disregarded EVERY law, rule, and restriction on publicly reporting false information. Many children have been separated because the adult with them is not a blood relative - these are the people the Bush administration allowed unheeded access to America - letting the child be a 'get in free' card! The new discrimination is businesses refusing service to Republicans - because of their political views. The HUGE win for a Christian baker because he stood his moral grounds and refused to make a wedding cake for a same sex 'couple', while ignoring the FACT that many gender confused bakers refused to bake wedding cakes for traditional couples, has fueled a rash of stupidity from the public!
